Willie Belle
Mcdaniel
Oct 8, 1926 — Apr 14, 2014
Willie Belle Johnson McDaniel was born on October 8, 1926 in Franklin, Texas to Mary Boyd Johnson and Robert W. Johnson. She was an only child of this union.
Her mother passed away when she was two weeks old and she was raised by her mother's family, The Boyds.
Willie Bellle Married William L. McDaniel on September 17, 1945. She and "Mac" as she called him, had no children, but she had a close relationship with her aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout her life.
Most of her friends and relatives called her "Billie" a name she had gone by since the age of 16 years old. Billie was a graduate of Franklin High School, and retired in 1981 from Southern Union Gas Company, in Dallas, as the manager of the employee credit union. Billie and Mac returned to Franklin when they retired in October 1981 to be near aunts and cousins.
Billie obeyed the gospel and was baptized into Jesus Christ on December 30, 1984 at the Church of Christ in Franklin. Billie and Mac loved all of their friends, especially their brothers and sisters in Christ. They enjoyed staying at home, playing golf, and they loved their "Children", their pet dogs.
Billie said that what she enjoyed most about retirement, was that, "after 30 years of going to the office, I enjoy sitting at home reading and watching a little T.V." She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, and used ink to fill in the answers, which were always correct. The last time she was in the hospital, Toni was trying to get her to eat her dinner, but Billie was busy solving the puzzles on Wheel of Fortune.
Billie is preceded in death by her husband, William "Mac", and her parnets. Billie is survived by one aunt, Wilma Cardwell of Franklin, numerous cousins, those so special to her were Linnie Woodall, and her daughters, Toni, Terri and Traci, Hubert Perkins, Roger Adams, Denny McCullough and Jerry Cardwell, her constant companion, who she doted on, Buddy. These families were her family.
A special thank you to those ladies that took such good care of Billie, Renea Fulton, Alma Aguillar, Tracy Prebish and Regina Kellum. She loved them like family as well.
