Obituary

William Howard Honea, 90 died December 24, 2020 in Bryan, Texas, St. Joseph Hospital.  He was born March 4, 1930 in Robertson County Texas, the son of Leonard & Dona Honea.

Howard graduated from Franklin High School in 1948.  Following graduation, he began a successful career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Houston, Texas and served in the Texas Air National Guard.  He married Mary Jane Sepulvado in 1950 and made Houston their home.  They celebrated 70 years of marriage in April 2020.

After retiring they moved back to Franklin. Howard was a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus, founding member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Franklin Texas. Additionally, he was president of the Robertson County Water Board, Robertson County Crimes Stoppers and was a lifetime member of the Texas Cattlemen's Association. Howard enjoyed hunting, woodworking, vacationing at Garner State Park and cattle ranching.

Howard was predeceased by his parents, his sister, three brothers and daughter Karen Honea Myrick.

He is survived by his devoted wife Jane and four children, Billy Honea, Roger Honea, Donna Honea, and Susan Honea Musgrave, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Howard will be laid to rest in a private service at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas.
