Walter David Sanders, Sr., 63, passed away on February 16, 2021 at his home in Franklin.  Walter was born on August 29, 1957 to Aron and Lizzie Mae Sanders.

After high school, Walter went into the oil field, where he worked for over 46 years.  Making many friends and even adopting some as "family" along the way.  He never knew a stranger and would be the first to help anyone in need.  When he wasn't working, he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.  He loved life on the lake.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Aron Lee Sanders; nephews, Greg Wymola and Ryan Wymola; ex-wife, Cheryl May and his faithful beloved dog, Rowdy.

Walter is survived by his mother, Lizzie Mae Sanders of Franklin; his son, Walter David Sanders, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Brazoria; Grandchildren: Destiny Whitaker, Corey Whitaker and wife Elizabeth, Colby Sanders and wife Katie and Gracie Sanders; Great Grandchildren, Hadley and Haxton; sister, Cindy Wymola; brother, Bill Sanders; nephews, Aron Wymola and Cody Sanders

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Robertson County Cowboy Church.  Jimmy Sanders will officiate.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the Church.  Burial will follow in Owensville Cemetery.
