Vera Mae McBride, 73, of Plantersville, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Shenandoah, Texas.  She was born on August 27, 1944 in Marquez, Texas to A.Z. "Jack"  Boyd and Janie Fay Grimes Boyd. Vera Mae was a graduate of Franklin High School and married Ray McBride on February 9, 1963.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Magnolia.  Vera Mae was preceded in death by her parents, A.Z." Jack Boyd and Janie Fay Boyd and her brothers, Jack Boyd, J.M. Boyd and Hardy Boyd.

She is survived by:

Husband - Ray McBride

Son – Brian McBride and wife Megin

Daughter – Lisa Novotny and husband Gordon

Brothers – Auther Z. Boyd and wife Melba

Walter Ray Boyd and wife Rita

Grandchildren – Zachary, Janey, Sammie Jo, Emma, Boyd and Abby

Great Grandchildren – Kason and Houston

Services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home.
