Obituary

Terry Zane Scrimshire was called home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 70 years. She was born on October 18, 1952 in Weatherford, Texas to her parents, Robert Owen Scrimshire and Betty Zane Thomas Scrimshire.

She lived and loved the majority of her life in Franklin, Texas and was employed in retail sales. She had many years of medical issues, but that never stopped her from living life to the fullest.
No matter what she was going through, it was always her mission to cheer you up. Terry was very faithful and her love for God showed throughout her life.

Nana, as she was known to her grandchildren, was eccentric. She had this unique ability to unconditionally love all. Her kindness never met a stranger. One of her biggest passions in life was being involved with her family and friends. Whether she was dressed as a clown to celebrate a birthday, attending her grandkids activities, or just calling to say "I love you", she did whole heartedly. She could also be found enjoying a night out dancing with her father every now and then. Terry also enjoyed traveling, crafting and baking for her family. She also loved cats, they were a true joy and comfort.

Terry's contagious laugh, smile and love will be missed, but it will be cherished beyond measure.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Scrimshire; Son, James Gober and her grandparents, Kitty Zell and Raymond Booker.

Terry leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Phil Sanders of Franklin; her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jamie Gober of Franklin, Cody Gober of Franklin and Robbie and Chris Gober of Foreman, Arkansas; sisters and brother-in-law, Nikki Bush of Bryan and Karen and Rocky Callaway of Franklin; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Veronica Scrimshire of Franklin. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandon Sanders and partner Justin Dolon, Colton Gober, Tucker Gober, Hagen Gober, Isaiah Sanders, Kinleigh Lee and Maeson Solis; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Baden Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 184
