On December 3, 2018 Shirley Ann May went home to be with her Lord at the age of 79 years.  She was born on May 4, 1939 to Earl and Carrie Franks Meadors.

She graduated from Franklin High School and married Laddie May on December 14, 1957.  This December 14 ^th they would have been married 61 years. Shirley spent her career years working at the First National Bank. She was a life-long resident of Franklin and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Shirley loved baking and sharing her baked goods, she loved working in her yard, she also loved her grandkids and her great grandkids even more. She was a very selfless person that would do anything for anyone that needed it.  She can be best described as a special person that influenced many lives by her absolute truth, faith, passion and wisdom that came from her unsullied soul.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Montie Dale May; parents, Carrie and Earl Meadors; brothers, Winston, Wilburn, Kenny, Wayne and Alan Meadors; sisters, Elsie Merryman, Velma Ellison and Dolly Rush.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: Laddie May

Daughter – Theresia Riley and husband Bill

Sister – Laverne Boyd

Sister-in-laws – June Yoakum and Linda Merryman

Granddaughter – Kara Baade and husband Chris

Grandson – Dustin Riley and wife Leslie

Several Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Rev. Louie Walston will officiate.
