Shelton Copeland, 85, of Hilltop Lakes passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 14, 1931 in Limestone County to Fred and Ida Mae Noey Copeland. He married Sharon Copeland on August 6, 1960. He was self-employed cattle rancher and farmer before his retirement. He was of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Tammy Dupuis, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

He is survived by:

Wife – Sharon Sue Copeland of Hilltop Lakes

Daughter – Daphne Aguirre of Louisiana

3 Sons – Don Shelton Copeland of Fouke, Arkansas,
Kenneth Ray Copeland of Vivian, Louisiana and
Kevin Copeland of Hilltop Lakes

2 Sisters – Essie Padgett of Marquez and
Etta Spinks of Waller

17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Marquez Baptist Church. Ricky Smith and Jerry Gustavus will officiate. Burial will follow in the Winn Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
