Obituary

Scott Brandon Sanders was born on January 23, 1992 in Bryan, Texas to Larry and Cynthia Varvel Sanders. He passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his home in Franklin. Scott was a graduate of Franklin High School and TSTC. He married Shelby Ely on December 12, 2012. He was a life-long resident of Franklin and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Scott loved hunting and fishing and was an outstanding outdoorsman and craftsman. Scott loved the Lord and life. His radiant smile warmed the souls he touched. When he stopped to visit with you for a moment he made you feel seen and loved. He beamed with pride over the his children, Brody and Whitley. They were the joy of his life and spending every minute that he could with them made him the happiest he could be.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Dennis Varvel and John T. Sanders and cousins; Justin Ferreri, Tyler Varvel and Morgean Kessler.

Scott is survived by:
wife; Shelby Sanders, children; Brody Trace Sanders and Whitley Joel Sanders, parents; Larry and Cindy Sanders, sister; Kayla Sanders, brother and sister-in-law; Mark and Whitney Sanders, mother and father-in-law; Shannon and Chris Ely, brother-in-law; Wes Ely, sisters-in-law; Micalyn and Emma Ely, grandparents; Pebble Varvel, Mozelle Sanders and Mike and Tina Ely, niece; Maycee Sanders, nephews; Landon and Blake Sanders, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Serving as pallbearers: Mark Sanders, Wes Ely, Chris Smitherman, Nick Varvel, Casey Cooke and Buddy Stegall

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Franklin Church of Christ. Mitch Harper will officiate. Burial will follow in the Holly Cemetery in the Ridge Community of Robertson County. A visition will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home.
