Ruth Irene Easterly, 98, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Katy, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1912 in Tracy, MN to Webster Lloyd and Lucille Ingham Moses. She was a 1928 graduate of Jeff Davis High School in Houston and married Elton Elmer Easterly in Houston, Texas in 1931. Ruth was a homemaker and had been a resident of Franklin since 1968. She had been a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star since 1936 and served as Past Worthy Matron with Chapter #311 Franklin, Texas. She was also a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church in Franklin and the Women's Reading Club of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John Harvey Easterly, sister, Neva Squires, brother, Gerald Moses and great grandson, Richard Penny.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Franklin Methodist Church. Rev. Lindsey Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, March 11, 2011 from 6-7:30pm at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
