Ruth Bernice Brantner, 90, of Marquez, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Groesbeck, Texas. She was born on April 7, 1926 to Henry and Willie Mae Redden Cooper in Bremond, Texas. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Marquez for the past 12 years previously living in Houston. She was a member of the Marquez Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reese Brantner and daughter, Diane Johnson.

She is survived by:

7 Grandchildren – Keith Johnson and wife Beth, Kevin Johnson and wife Lauren, Jessica York and husband Greg, Matthew Johnson, Chris Horton, Nathan Horton and wife Shelley and Meagan Day and husband Kelly

Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. Gene Darby will officiate.
