Obituary

Ruben Charles "RC" Guajardo, 82, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1933 in Pflugerville, Texas to Ernest and Louise Guajardo.

He was a graduate of Austin High School. RC enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 9, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas and married Melita Guajardo on December 23, 1951. After serving his country for 20 years, he retired in 1970 . He married Johnnie Stephenson on October 21, 1977 in Angleton, Texas and went back to his roots, where he has been ranching for the past 40 years. He has been a resident of Franklin for the past 35 years previously living in Manvel, Texas. RC was of the Catholic faith. He was also a member of the VFW Post #10358.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Johnnie Guajardo, his parents; Ernest and Louise Guajardo, his son, Richard Charles Guajardo and his daughter; Janet Gudmon.

He is survived by:

Daughters – Debra Henkel and husband Casey, Paulette Hrncir, Becky Goode and husband Cliff, Delores Roark and husband Jeff and Kathy Reed and husband Charlie

Sons – Rene` Guajardo, Ronald Guajardo and wife Lisa, Tommy Alexander and wife Linda, Bubba (Warren) Alexander and wife Marcie and John Alexander and wife Tina

Sisters – Gladys Aranda, Olga Garcia and husband Reynaldo and Alice Guajardo

Brothers – Rudy Guajardo and wife Mary Alice and Edward Guajardo and wife Lydia

31 Grandchildren and 39 Great Grandchildren

He is also survived by his former spouse, Manuela Melita Guajardo and his trusted companion, Schlitz

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin. A military graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Easterly Cemetery.
