Obituary

Robert Wayne Brooks, 73, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Wayne (the name pretty well everyone knew him by) was born on November 1, 1948 at the Tavel Clinic and Hospital in Franklin, Texas.

Wayne graduated from Franklin High School in 1967.  He was drafted into the Army on May 7, 1968.  Wayne turned 20 and 21 years old while serving in Vietnam. He was employed with GATX in Hearne for 28 years.

Wayne married Patricia Wisnoski in 1977.  They had one son, Clifton Louis Brooks (CL)

Wayne was a member of the Bremond Masonic Lodge #350 and Pierce Masonic Lodge #144 Calvert, Texas.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Clifton Brooks; sister, Marilyn Plagens; brothers-in-laws, Lionel Milberger and Johnny Wisnoski and nephews, Johnny and Billy Milberger.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Patricia Wisnoski Brooks; son, Clifton Louis Brooks (CL) and fiancé, Amanda Perez; sisters: Dorothy Milberger, Jean Baker and Howard Monroe and Nelda McClure and husband William; brother, Bobby Brooks; brothers-in-law: Billy Plagens, Roy Wisnoski and wife Mari Kay and Robert Wisnoski and wife Rebecca; Sisters-in-law: Janet Rosenquist and husband Frank and Haven Wisnoski; four grandkids: Kobe Brooks, Baily Brooks, Maci Brooks and Cason Brooks; two future step grandkids: Henley and Ceylon Speer. Wayne is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Henry Prairie Baptist Church in Robertson County.  Longtime friend, Chuck Hairston will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.  Burial will follow in the Henry Prairie Cemetery.
