Obituary

Reese Arnold Brantner, 89, of Marquez, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Groesbeck, Texas. He was born on August 7, 1923 in Bremond, Texas to Horace and Mabrey Petteway Brantner. He attended Franklin High School and married Ruth Cooper on July 12, 1944. Mr. Brantner was retired from Exxon where he was employed as a truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Mr. Brantner was of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Diane Johnson, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
He is survived by:
Wife – Ruth Brantner of Marquez
Daughter and Son-in-law –
Joyce and Ed Horton of Marquez

Geraldine Smith of Tomball

Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Marquez Church of Christ. Minister Gene Darby will officiate. Burial will follow in the Herds Prairie Cemetery in the Petteway Community of Robertson County. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.

Donations may be made to the United States Veterans Association or to the Wounded Warriors
