Obituary

Randal Glen Stone passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 53 years just 2 days shy of his 54th birthday. He was born on November 21, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Barbara and Charles Schmeichel.

Randal was a 1983 graduate of Franklin High School.  He married Tracy Morrissey on July 6, 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1984 and was on the USS American during the Libyan Crisis during the Reagan Administration.  He served his country until 1989.  Randal was retired from Texas A&M University Power Plant where he was employed for 22 years. He currently was employed with Cefco in Franklin as a store manager. Randal and his wife, Tracy were also employed at the Texas Renaissance Festival for the past 17 years. He loved his Renaissance family and they were a big part of his life.  He also loved his grandbabies and his dogs and was loved by everyone who knew him.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and the American Legion.

Randal was preceded in death by his youngest son, Benjamin Ryan Stone; his mother, Barbara Schmeichel and his grandparents, Ewell and Betty Meadors.

He is survived by:

Wife- Tracy Stone of Franklin

Daughter and Son-in-law – Wyndi and Edward Grubbe of College Station

Sons and Daughter-in-law –

Randal Stone II of College Station

Mathew and Michelle Stone of Huntsville

Father – Charles Schmeichel of New Baden

Sister and Brother-in-law – Ronda and Eric Horton of Denton

6 Grandchildren – Benjamin, Liliana, Alaina, Liam, Izabella and Emmalee

Aunts, Uncles and Cousins

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.  President Edmondson will officiate.Burial will follow in the Camp Creek Cemetery.  A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
