Rachel Ashley De Zavala, 93, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 in Franklin.  She was born on March 5, 1925 in Waco, Texas to William and Ellie Ashley Sugg. Rachel was a graduate of Weslaco High School and attended Blinn College.  She married the love of her life, Lawrence Kenneth DeZavala on June 16, 1945 in Freeport, Texas.  She was a homemaker and was a resident of Franklin for the past 43 years. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church as well as the St. Francis Ladies Group in Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Kenneth De Zavala and Son-in-law, Ellis Waller.

Her loving husband of 73 years – Lawrence Kenneth De Zavala of Franklin

Daughter – Lynn Waller of Liberty Hill

Daughter-in-law – Mischele De Zavala of Pittsburg, PA

7 Grandchildren: David Waller, Kendra Webb, Tiffany Schoppe, Matt Waller, Dale De Zavala, Brook De Zavala and Laney De Zavala

12 Great Grandchildren:  Ashley Baatista, Austin Waller, Anna Schoppe, Audrey Schoppe, Kate Schoppe, Allison Waller, Samuel Waller, Lexton Waller, Brandon De Zavala, Cade De Zavala, Ty Petrey and Levi Petrey

Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Franklin.  Burial will follow in the New Baden Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Friday, Marcy 8, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
