On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Pebble Yvonne Varvel fell into a peaceful sleep to begin her journey with the angels at the age of 86.  Pebble was born on January 7, 1936 in Ridge, Texas.  Although her body will return to dust, her soul will live forever with God.

Pebble was a lifelong resident of the community of Ridge, Texas where she met the love of her life, Dennis Varvel Sr.  Together they worked side by side raising their six children teaching by example how to love unconditionally and how to trust and rely on one another. She taught her children the precious value of family and how to work and play hard.  She lived her life surrounded by her children and grandchildren knowing what they needed, lending a helping hand before asked.  Nanny's house was the place to be for the holidays where she welcomed everyone with a warm smile and big hug.  She was an excellent cook and you could not beat her holiday dressing and homemade rolls.  Her kitchen was where everyone came to eat, visit, laugh, play Skip-Bo, dominos, put together puzzles, and have a good time.  She could mend or patch anything no matter what the condition.

With a kind heart and a beautiful smile, she loved her family and friends.  She was a living example of unwavering faith in God and she was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Pebble reunites in heaven with her beloved husband, Dennis Varvel Sr., her parents F.L. and Pauline Tullous; siblings, Ferman Tullous and Patsy Corn; son-in-law Johnny Wilkerson and grandchildren, Justin Ferreri, Tyler Varvel, Scott Sanders and Kelsey Roe.

She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her children;  Trish Roe of San Antonio, Linda Wilkerson, Sharon Smitherman and husband Terry, Cindy Sanders and husband Larry, Dennis Varvel Jr. and wife Sandy all of Franklin, Carla Worsham and husband Mark of Austin.  Grandchildren;  David Attaway, Kristi Jenkins, Chris Smitherman, Ashley Smitherman, Kayla Sanders, Mark Sanders, Emily Crook, Nick Varvel, and Lauren Ferreri along with 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ.  Burial will follow in the Holly Cemetery in Ridge, Texas.  A visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:30-2:45 P.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ.
