Obituary

Patsy "Pat" Gwen LaGrone Box was born on March 30, 1936 in the Henry Prairie Community of Robertson County, Texas to George Thomas, Sr. and Martie Mae Fulton LaGrone. She passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020 in Franklin, Texas at the age of 84 years.

Pat was a 1954 graduate of Reagan High School. She married Bernard "Ben" Box on December 18, 1954 in Hearne, Texas. Pat worked multiple jobs during her early adult years but spent the most significant part of her life working alongside Bernard as co-owner of Centex Ag Supply. They opened the doors of their family-run business in the early 1970s and spent their days taking care of their customers' agricultural needs. Pat enjoyed visiting with everyone who came in, and two of her favorite topics were her children and grandchildren. After retirement and after Bernard passed, she spent many hours sitting in her driveway and chatting with the many kind individuals who took time out of their day to stop for a visit.

Pat's highly social nature probably stemmed from the fact that she "wasn't even born alone", as she frequently shared. She took great pride in having a twin brother, and they were one of two sets of twins in the family. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and gathering with friends and family for a friendly game of cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard Box; sister, Georgia Dunn and brother, David LaGrone.

She is survived by:

Daughter and Son-in-law – Karen Klores and husband Norman of Franklin

Son – Robert "Bobby" Box of Franklin

Sister – Brenda LaGrone Greene of Houston

Brother – George Thomas "Tommy" LaGrone, Jr. of Montgomery

Grandchildren – Jamie Box Wilson and husband Jeff, Robert "Kenny" Box and wife Cari Box, Thomas Box, Ashley Klores and Austin Klores
