Norma Jean Brewer, March 26, 1930 – Jan 3, 2023

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. January 7 at Franklin Church of Christ, and her Memorial service will follow there at 11:00 a.m.

Norma Jean, 92, died after a long and well-lived life on January 3, 2023 in Franklin, TX. She was born on March 26, 1930 in Franklin, Texas to D.F. and Carrie Cornelius. Norma graduated from Franklin High School in May 1947, and attended Sam Houston State University.

Norma Jean married Rondal Brewer on April 16, 1949 in Franklin. She was a homemaker, substitute teacher and bookkeeper for the First National Bank.

In 1981, Jean and Rondal retired from banking and moved to their acreage outside of town to raise cattle and garden along with sharing it with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ and served as a children's Bible teacher and many other ways.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Evelyn, Denver, Orville and Sarah.

Survivors include her two sons, Joe and Sheila Brewer of Liberty Hill, TX; Jim and Lisa Brewer of Lubbock, TX; Five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Franklin Church of Christ, P.O. Box 1175 Franklin, Texas 77856,  that will be collected and used to improve landscaping at the Franklin Nursing Home as it was Norma Jean's life mission to share her green thumb wherever she went.
