Nora Joyce Smith was born on January 5, 1933 in Wood County, Texas to Willie and Nora Myrtle Whitworth Turner. She went to be with her Heavenly Father and beloved Harry on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 84 years. She was a graduate of Quitman High School and East Texas State Teachers College. She married Harry D. Smith on June 1, 1956 in Quitman, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2016. She was employed with Franklin I.S.D. as a teacher for 30 plus years before her retirement. She also taught piano lessons for many years to the young and old of her community. She was a resident of Franklin for 60 years before moving to Bryan with her daughter, Jan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and played the piano and organ there for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Gerald Turner.

Daughter and Son-in-law – Jan and Arnold Krammer of Bryan
2 Grandchildren – Douglas Krammer and wife Erin and Adam Krammer
3 Great Grandchildren – Avery, Mya and Nathan

Services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Franklin. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
