Morris Weldon Fulks entered eternal life on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born on August 3, 1931, in Luling, Texas to parents, Eldridge Fulks and Nannie Rodgers Fulks.
Morris received his education at Bloomington High School before enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 19 to serve his country. Morris served aboard the USS McCaffery during the Korean War receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1954 as a decorated veteran. He then became employed with Lee Way Motor Freight where he was employed as a commercial truck driver for 41 years before his retirement. He was a resident of Franklin, Texas for the past 26 years; previously living in Deer Park and Pasadena, Texas. He married his forever companion, Margie Cooper, on August 2, 1997, in Pasadena and shared 27 wonderful years of marriage. Morris was a devoted member of the Franklin Church of Christ and was also a past member of the Franklin Lions Club.
Morris is preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge Fulks and Nannie Fulks Dowdy and stepfather, Berk Dowdy.
Left behind to cherish the memory of Morris: Wife, Margie Fulks of Franklin; Daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly Fulks Wullschleger and husband John Wullschleger of League City, Terrie and Jim Nichols of Seabrook; Sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Shellie Fulks of League City, Ronnie and Diane Morris of Houston, Darryl and Kelly Morris of Friendswood; Sister, Becky Harley of Franklin; 8 Grandchildren, Rob Fulks, Trevor Fulks, Bria Wullschleger, Justin Nichols, Joshua Morris, Mathew Morris, Jonathan Morris, Ryan West and Kendra Morris. He is also survived by his 6 Great Grandchildren: Skylar Fulks, Parker Fulks, Ryker Fulks, Oakley Falkey, Rhett West, Hayden Morris and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ. The Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. Jerry Paceley will officiate. Following the service, the burial with military honors will be held in the Bald Prairie Cemetery.
