Miriam Margaret May, 86, of
Whitney, Texas and formerly of
Franklin passed away on Friday,
July 8, 2011. Services will be on
Monday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at
the McCauley Funeral Home
Chapel in Franklin, Texas. Burial
will follow in the Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July
10, at McCauley Funeral Home
She was born on June 4, 1925 in
Cole Branch Community of
Robertson County, Texas to
W.D. Adams and Wilma Autrey
Adams. She received her education
in Franklin Schools and
married A.J. May on June 25,
1945. She was employed with
Franklin Middle School as an
educational aide until her retirement.
She had been a resident
of Franklin for 80 years before
moving to Whitney. She was of
the Church of Christ faith.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, parents; brothers,
Bud Adams and Tommy
Autrey.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Patsy and Tom
Cole of Franklin, Elaine and
Bobby Roller of Whitney; a sister,
Melva Jean McBride of
Franklin; brother and
sister-in-law, Bobby and Betty
Jo Adams of Franklin; seven
grandchildren, Kristi Roller
Brakebill and husband Kyle,
BreAnn Roller Dees and husband
Cameron, Tommy Cole
and wife Kelly, Bobby Cole and
wife Stacey, Mandy Cole Foster
and husband Kevin, Mary Cole
Bush and wife Ross, Molly Cole
Smitherman and husband Chris;
6 great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
