Michael David Benjamin Martin, 56, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on June 22, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Jimmie May Sallach Martin and Larry L. Martin.

He attended Cy-Fair High School and Texas A&M University. Mike retired in 2007 after being employed with M&M Farm Supply for twenty plus years. He married Sherry Kelly in January 2004. He had been a resident of Franklin for 35 years previously living in Cypress. He was a member of the First Baptist Church New Baden, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon Mayor Martin and daughter, LaTania Marie Martin.

He is survived by –

Wife – Sherry Martin of New Baden

Sons – Micah Lawrence John Martin of Franklin and Beau James Dittfurth of Bryan

Daughters and Son-in-law – Lauren and Joseph Barron of Houston and

Michelle Dittfurth of Bryan

Sisters and Brothers-in-law – Margaret and Robert Montemayor of Magnolia and Melissa and Romes Williams of Franklin

Brothers and Sisters-in-law – Mark and Gloria Martin of Franklin, Monte and Dawn Martin of Kemah and Matt Martin of Franklin

Grandchild – Ty Preston Goodrich

Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church New Baden, Texas. Freddy Burden will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Martin Family Cemetery in New Baden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.
