Michael Alan Fisher, Sr., was born on August 15, 1950, to parents, Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Kingry Fisher in Peru, Indiana. He entered eternal life on Monday, July 29, 2024, in College Station, Texas, surrounded by family at the age of 73 years.
After receiving his education, Mike served his country serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he entered a career in law enforcement. Mike was employed in Kingsville, Texas before retiring and served as lieutenant of the police force. After retiring, he moved to Robertson County, Texas and continued his career serving as chief of police for the city of Hearne and Bremond. He then retired for a second and final time from the Robertson County Sheriff Department where he served as deputy investigator.
Mike married Earlene on February 14, 2009. They were married for 15 years and made their home in Hearne and later moved to Franklin. Mike was a member of the Robertson County Pentecostal Church and the American Legion.
Mike was a kind and compassionate man. Even being a law enforcement officer, he saw good in all people and went above and beyond to help anybody in need. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was always there for his children in all their endeavors, cheering them on at every event they were involved in. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and was a lot of fun to be around. Mike will be missed by all the many lives he touched while here on earth.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Fisher, his wife, Gloria Fisher and his siblings, Beverly and Jim.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Earlene Fisher; his children, Michael Fisher, Jr. and wife Orie, Mary Longoria and husband Jacob, Gena Robinson, Dena Autrey and husband Steve, Michael Peterson and Shannon Mayes; sisters, Mary Jo, Carol and Marjorie; 12 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery in Beeville, Texas. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.
