Merle Inez Bishop Moore, 96 of the Elliott Community in Robertson County, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her home.  She was born on September 15, 1921 in Elliott to Arthur Samuel and Annie May Baker Bishop. She received her education in Elliott and married Warren Moore on December 26, 1941.  She was a resident of Elliott for the past 43 years previously living in Houston, Texas.  Merle was a member of the Elliott Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Arnold, Jack, Sam, Bully, Cot and Herbert Bishop; sister, Clara Evans.

She is survived by:

Daughter and Son-in-law – Marlyn and Rick Tinnell of Bryan

Son and Daughter-in-law – Ellis and Juanita Moore of Franklin

Sister – Doris Payne of Hearne

6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren

Services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Elliott Baptist Church.  Rev. Dale Wells will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home.
