Obituary

Melva Lee Ball lived life exactly the way she wanted—full of adventure, laughter, music, and love. She never met a road she didn't want to travel or a dance floor she didn't want to conquer. In fact, if there was music playing, you could count on Melva being the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave it. Her vibrant personality was impossible to miss, with her signature big hair, sparkling sequins, and favorite color purple lighting up every room she entered.

Melva began her career working at Texas A&M before finding her calling in the oil field as a hot shot driver. She spent countless miles on the open road, doing what she loved most, traveling and embracing every journey life had to offer. She had an adventurous spirit and believed life was meant to be lived to the fullest.

Above all else, Melva loved her family fiercely. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were the greatest joys of her life. She treasured every moment spent with them and created countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Melva was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Liner and Leatha Noey Arnett, and by her beloved sister, Charlene Denman.

She is survived by her children: Bobby Wayne Ball and wife Diane Ball, Delene Yeager, Johnny Ray Ball, and Branda Stilson and husband Steve Stilson.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Shawna Leonard and husband James Leonard, Steven Stilson and wife Jessica Stilson, Brandy King and husband Kenneth King, Thomas Ball, Adam Ball, and Tyler Stilson and wife Emily Stilson.

Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Taylor, Jami, Dillon, Coltin, Cobie, Cayden, Maycie, Brentley, Luke, Aaron, Martha Kate, and Cayden and her great-great-grandchildren: Joshua, Ben, Stoney and Jasper.

Melva is also survived by her brother, Bobby Liner, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Those who knew Melva will forever remember her bold spirit, her contagious laughter, her love for purple and sequins, and the way she could light up any room with her smile and energy. She taught her family to embrace life, love deeply, travel often, and dance whenever the opportunity arose.

While her family mourns the loss of an extraordinary woman, they celebrate a life that was lived with passion, joy, and unwavering love. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will live in us forever.
