Mattielene Sanders, 74, of Caldwell and formerly of Ridge, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Caldwell, Texas. She was born on August 30, 1938 in Walnut Creek, Mississippi to Burl and Glennie Stewart. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Caldwell for the past 5 years. She was preceded in death by her parnets, husband; Author Sanders, son; Mark Sanders and sister; Marie Gomillion.

She is survived by:
Daughter – Theresa Sanders of Caldwell
Son and Daughter-in-law – Steve and Donna Sanders of Franklin
Sister – Frances Leaf of Caldwell
Grandchildren – Rebecca Sanders, Mark Allen Sanders and wife Gisela, Julie Banks and Donald McCarver
Great Grandchildren – Shelbi Sanders, Landen Sanders, Aiyanna Sanders and Karah Sanders

Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Henry Prairie Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Sanders will officiate.
