Matilda "Tillie" Hedrick, 93, of Wheelock, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1920 in Jackson County, Texas to August and Gertrude Osbolt Kunover. She was a graduate of San Jacinto High School, Rice University and Texas A&M University. Mrs. Hedrick was retired from Franklin I.S.D. where she was employed as a teacher. She was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. She married Joe Hedrick on October 5, 1946 in Bay City, Texas. She had been a resident of Robertson County for 67 years previously living in Bay City. Mrs. Hedrick was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Mary Weidenfeld and brother; Joe Fritz.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church in Franklin, Texas. Father Celso Yu will officiate. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 6:30 p.M. at the St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church. A private graveside will be held at Wheelock Cemetery.
