Mary Ann Brunette was born on September 6, 1937 in Bryan, Texas to John Richard Slaughter and Addie Pearl Barnett Slaughter Caldwell. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home at the age of 76 years. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956 and married Richard Brunette on February 6, 1957. Over the years she was a hairdresser, Bus Driver, Tool Crib Manager for Dresser Industries and served as a clerk for the Dallas Sheriff's Department. She spent most of her adult life residing in Irving, Texas, until she retired and moved back home to Franklin. Mary Ann was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in both the Irving and Franklin Chapters. She was a member of the Common Ground Cowboy Church in Kosse. She was preceded in death by her father, John Richard Slaughter; mother, Addie Pearl Caldwell; Step-father, Doyal O'Neal Caldwell, Sr. and brother, John Thomas "Sonny" Slaughter.

3 Grandchildren – Rebecca Thompson and Husband,Chris of Bryan Texas; Eric Brunette of Byran,Texas and Katlyn Wilson of Bremond, Texas
1 Great Grandchild – Colton John Thompson of Bryan, Texas
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Common Ground Cowboy Church in Kosse. Pastor Terry Williams will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital in Mary Ann's name.
