Louis Eugene (Gene) Drennan, 82, of Franklin, Texas went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was born on April 6, 1933 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Marvin Errett Drennan and Mattie Alma Pewitt Drennan.
After graduating from North Side High School in Ft. Worth, Louis graduated from Texas Tech University with an Electrical Engineering Degree and earned his Masters of Business Administration from Webster University in Webster Groves, Mo.
He married Priscilla Jane Bigby on December 31, 1958 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Louis served his country during peace time in the United States Airforce and was stationed in Korea for 1 year. He was employed as a District Plant Manager for SW Bell/AT&T for 30 ½ years before his retirement in 1986. He and a partner established a telephone service company where he was the VP of Operations until 1994. He was a resident of Franklin for the past 21 years previously living in College Station and St. Louis, Mo. Louis was an active member of the Franklin Church of Christ and served as Deacon and Elder for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and his son-in-law.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Franklin Church of Christ. Rocky Whitely will officiate. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brazos Valley Hospice
