Lillian Anna "Ann" Lastor passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 13, 2026. Born on August 25, 1948, in Marquez, Texas, Ann was the youngest child born to Thomas and Irene (Copeland) Hicks.

Ann graduated from Leon High School in 1966 and made her way to Robertson County, where she met the love of her life, Walter Newt Lastor. On September 8, 1973, Ann and Walter married and soon made their life-long home in Calvert. Ann was known for her warm heart, infectious laughter and her passion for animals. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up the world. Ann was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family, raising two children, Seth (48) and Lesley (43). Her kindness and sweet nature touched everyone who knew her.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents Thomas & Irene Hicks, her three brothers Thomas Van, Robert Latimer "Lat", and James Edward and one sister, Dorothy Louise.

Ann is survived by her son Seth Thomas Lastor, daughter Lesley Ann Lastor, one granddaughter, Savannah Elyce Thomas, one brother-in-law John Lastor and wife Jo, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, her beloved cats, and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas. A burial will follow in the String Prairie Cemetery. The family would like to invite all for fellowship at the First Baptist Church of Calvert following the service and burial.
