Leona Petty, 93, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Waco, Texas. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Robertson County, Texas to Daniel Cornelius Currie and Mary Ethel Smith Currie. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Ms. Currie was employed with Ennis Hospital as a dietician before her retirement. She had been a resident of Hilltop Lakes for 17 years previously living in Ennis. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Howard Petty in 2001 and all of siblings.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Edna Frances Petty of Groesbeck

Son and Daughter-in-law – James W. and Lori Petty of Lake Limestone

5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

A memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. David Lee Petty will officiate.
