Kathleen Wallace Stegall passed away January 3, 2015 in Dallas, Texas where she lived for several years. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
She was born to Rev. and Mrs. J.L. Wallace on Nov. 1, 1923 in Franklin Texas. Rev. Wallace was pastor of Franklin Baptist Church for 30 plus years where Kathleen was a lifelong member.
She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and received her Master's Degree at University of Houston. She taught school for many years in Texas City and Galena Park, both near Houston.
She returned to Franklin and married well known rancher Vernon Brooker "Buddy" Stegall. They had many friends and loved to entertain family and friends at their ranch where they had many happy years together. She retired from her teaching career in Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Stegall as well has her stepson John Stegall, son Jim Stegall and her brother Bobby Drew Wallace. She is survived by her stepdaughters Tina Ely and husband Mike and Teresa Martin and husband Don of Franklin as well as her sister Lorrain Shelton Kramp of Dallas. Step daughter-n-law Bina Stegall of Franklin and daughter-n-law Liz Stegall of Franklin. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grand children as well as nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Franklin with Toby Foreman officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at McCauley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Franklin City Cemetery
