Lena Mae Springer, 102, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence. She was born on October 24, 1910 in Water Valley, Mississippi. She attended school in Memphis, Tennessee and married Clayburn Springer on September 11, 1926. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Franklin for the past 45 years. She was a long time member of the Franklin Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters; Peggy Matthews and Dolly Moore, 2 sons; Charles Springer and Alvin Springer, Grandsons; Jarrod Scarpinato and Justin Waters
She is survived by
4 Daughters and Sons-in-law- Myrtle and Charles Ruddick of Hearne
Vi and James Barnett of Conroe
Sherry and Kenneth Waters of Franklin Jerry and Jimmy Scarpinato of Franklin
Sons and Daughters-in-law – Buddy and Mary Springer of Cleveland
Jimmy and Peggy Springer of Groesbeck
30 Grandchildren, Numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren
Services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ. Minister Al Jolly will officiate. Burial will follow in the Restever Cemetery in Bryan, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 6-8 pm at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
