Lena Dianne
Schluter
Feb 23, 1946 — Dec 19, 2021
Lena Dianne Schluter was born on February 23, 1946 in Caprock, Texas to parents, William Robert Schluter and Maude Whitehead Schluter. She entered eternal life on December 19, 2021 in Temple, Texas at the age of 75 after a brief illness with Parkinson's Diesease.
Dianne, as she was known to all, received her education at Ralls High School and then attended cosmetology school. Dianne was employed as a beautician for fifty seven years before her illness required her to retire. She also worked several side ventures such as being an at home caregiver, lawn mowing and working as a front desk clerk. Dianne is best described as a hardworking individual. She worked many years in her beauty shop in Franklin while also selling vitamins, candles and anything else she could think to help provide for her family and make ends meet.
Dianne will be remembered for being an active member of her community. She faithfully served with Robertson County Emergency Medical Services for fourteen years and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin.
Dianne's home was always open. She was a proud mother to not only her three boys, but to many others as well. She was also a proud grandmother and loved her family unconditionally. Dianne was a sports enthusiast and especially loved basketball. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, but thoughts of her will always bring a smile and she will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Stanley; sister and brother-in-law, Wynonna and Willie Easter and sister, Joyce Schutte.
She is survived by her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Troy and Anna Payne of Temple and Sheldon "Skeeter" Ivie of Clifton. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Robertson County Cowboy Church. Jimmy Sanders and Lee Caldwell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice in Dianne's honor.
