L.C. "Jack" Currie 73, was a lifelong resident of the Ridge community. He passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born on December 13, 1940 in Ridge, Texas to William Earl and Delia Winstead Currie. He attended Franklin High School and was self-employed carpenter and farmer. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He loved his family above all else and cared deeply for his friends. Jack had an inventive mind and could do just about anything within reason. He had a unique ability to study a problem and come to a resolution—he never lingered on the problem, just the solution. He loved his home and farm, and didn't care if he ever went anywhere else, with the exception of traveling to see or be with family. Jack's competitive nature always came out in a game of dominoes. His sense of humor will always be with us—if he didn't joke with you, he probably just didn't know you. He married Edna "Laverne" Rawls on August 27, 1960 in Centerville, TX. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Roy Glenn Dewberry, brother; Newell Currie, brother; Jerry Currie, brother; Donald Ray Currie.
