Latitia Kavanaugh Hedrick went to her Heavenly home on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 66 years. She was born on January 30, 1960, in Ft. Worth, Texas to her parents, Herbert Charles Kavanaugh and Patsy Ross Kavanaugh.
Latitia, also affectionately known as "Grammy", received her education at Dickinson High School and Texas A&M University. She married her husband of 40 years, Wade Hedrick, on January 4, 1986, in Dickinson, Texas. Latitia was employed for many years as a teacher's assistant before her retirement. She was a member of the Wheelock Methodist Church and was a resident of Marquez, Texas for the past 34 years. Latitia loved watching football and baseball, especially her beloved Aggies and Astros. The Astros were on the TV every time they played unless the Aggies were on. She cheered for the Texans but never got over losing her Oilers. She was Luv Ya Blue forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Patsy Kavanaugh.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Wade Hedrick of Marquez, Son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Wade Hedrick (Stevie) of Franklin and 3 precious grandchildren, Miranda Love Hedrick, Kincade Rex Hedrick and Mackenzie Elle Hedrick. She is also survived by sisters, Vanessa Pedersen (Poul) of Mt. Pleasant SC and Dachelle Purcell (Tony) of Georgetown, Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Kate Barnett (Richard) of Franklin, Denese Hedrick of Franklin, Sara Dutch (Ed) of Franklin, Joe Hedrick (Kathy) of Wheelock and Molly Hedrick (Steve) of Franklin, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Wheelock Methodist Church. Gary Westbrook will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheelock Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wheelock Methodist Church P.O. Box 238 Wheelock, Texas 77882, in honor of Latitia Hedrick.
