Larry Sanders Cooper joined his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in Houston, Texas at the age of 78 years. He was born on September 12, 1944 in the Petteway Community of Robertson County, Texas to his parents, Elvin Daulton Cooper and Maudie Josephine Thomas Cooper.
Larry was a 1963 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas. He was drafted into the U.S. Army serving his country in Thailand as a Military Policeman. Larry was employed with Houston Light and Power for many years before his retirement. He was a resident of Pasadena most of his life and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Maudie Cooper; brothers, Elvin Cooper, Jr., James Cooper, Johnny Cooper and Thomas Cooper; his sisters, Dorothy Josephine Cooper and Laura Dellene Fowler.
Larry is survived by his loving sisters, Margie Fulks and husband Morris of Franklin and Janie Taylor and husband Eugene "Butch" of Livingston; his brothers, Fred Allen Cooper and wife Henrietta of La Porte and Jerry Lynn Cooper and wife Pam of Willis. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bald Prairie Cemetery in the Bald Prairie Community of Robertson County. Jerry Cooper will officiate.
