Obituary

Kristen Gail Hildebrandt, age 20 passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.  Kristen was born on September 21, 1998 in Arlington, Texas to Carl Dean Hildebrandt and Jennifer Gail Oldfield Hildebrandt.

Kristen lived with her parents and brothers in Arlington until she moved to Franklin in 2010, a few years after the loss of her mother, Jennifer Hildebrandt's to ALS in 2006. Kristen was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior on July 8, 2012.  She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

Kristen graduated from Franklin High School in 2017.  During her high school years she was active in the Art Club and served as President  in her senior year. She thoroughly enjoyed her art classes and was a talented young artist in multiple mediums.  Her sophomore year, she won a gold medal with the water color painting "Colored With Age" at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo..  Kristen was awarded a summer program art school scholarship that she attended in the summer of June 2015.  She also ran track her freshman year.   She was a member of the National Art Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society and was a Franklin High Honor Graduate.

Kristen adored animals and would take in strays and feed, love and care for them. She was also self-employed as a pet sitter as a side job to make extra money.  Kristen not only loved animals she also loved her family and everyone close to her. She had a big heart and was always trying to help or care for others.  She will be deeply missed by all the lives that she touched during her short time here on earth.


Kristen was preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Gail Hildebrandt and her grandparents; Dean Hildebrandt, Mary Hildebrandt and Bobby Oldfield.

She is survived by: Her father and step-mother, Carl and Gloria Hildebrandt of Franklin, TX, her brothers Michael Dean Hildebrandt of Franklin, TX,and Colton Chase Woodson of Arlington, TX, her step-sister Gladis Gonzales, of Franklin, her Aunt and Uncle,Jeannie and Todd Werthman of Houston,, her Grandmother, Barbara Oldfield, several cousins, as well as Great Aunts and Uncles.


Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Nathan Giesenschlag will officiate.  A visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in
