Kenneth Ray Thurman was born on January 18, 1928 in Cherokee County, Texas to William Benjamin Thurman and Edith Agnes Wallace Thurman.  He entered eternal life on April 12, 2020 at the age of 92 years.

Kenneth received his education in Jacksonville, Texas.  He then served his country in the United States Merchant Marines. Kenneth married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Spencer on September 18, 1948 in Houston, Texas.  They were married for 71 years.  He was employed with Houston Lighting and Power for 38 years before his retirement.  In 1968, they purchased property in Robertson County and after their retirement in 1984, they made it their permanent home.  Kenneth was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin.  He loved his Lord and was a devoted Christian.  Kenneth enjoyed traveling, working outside in the yard and garage but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Benjamin Thurman and Edith Agnes Thurman; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
