Juanita Darlene Buchanan, 80, of College Station, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. She was born on March 19, 1935 in New Baden, Texas to Alfred Leon Tarver and Opal Juanita Hickman Tarver.
She graduated from Franklin High School in 1953. Juanita married Ernest Buchanan on August 22, 1953 in New Baden. She was employed as a teacher before her retirement. She had been a resident of College Station for the past 3 years previously living in Oakwood where she was a member of the Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Doyle.

9 Grandchildren – Chance Buchanan, Christopher Buchanan, Heather Soria, Addam Amaya, Austin Buchanan, Brooke Buchanan, Reagan Buchanan, Shelby Lewandowski and Laynee Buchanan

Services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel. David Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home.
