Joyce Frances Templeton was born on September 1, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to parents, Walter and Heilda Groupenhof Lewis.  She entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 85.

Joyce received her education at St. Agnes Academy in Houston and Southern Methodist University.  She married her husband, Billy Joe Templeton on February 7, 1955.  To this union were two children, Joe and Lisa.  Joyce was retired from First State Bank.  She was a resident of Robertson County for 30 years previously living in Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Heilda Lewis; sister, Diana Casburn; brother, Don Lewis; husband, Billy Joe Templeton; son, Joe Templeton and daughter-in-law, Debbie Vajdak.

Joyce is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Johnson of Franklin; Sister, JoAnn Doerrig of Cibola; 7 grandchildren: Toni Hinojosa, Teja Ruiz, Jessica Pruitt, Erica Wilson, Teri Barham, Lauren Calhoun, Preston Templeton, and Weston Johnson; 11 great grandchildren: Zachary, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Olivia Ruiz, Wade, Mack and Sally Pruitt, Ayden Martin and Blake Wilson, Trace and Tyli Ortega and Trigg Barham.  She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Laura "Boodle" Templeton and sister-in-law, Shirley Lewis.
