John Boyd McClellan was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 9, 1940 to his parents, John Kerr and Maurine Kemp McClellan.  He went home to be with the Lord December 13, 2021.

John was a 1958 graduate of Richards High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Veran Ann Wells on June 30, 1961.  He was employed with the Texas Highway Department, retiring in 2003.

John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin.   He loved the Lord, his wife and his family.  He was loved a respected by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Kerr and Maurine McClellan and his sister, Judy McClellan.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Vera Ann McClellan of Franklin; daughters, Melissa Martin and husband Larry and Dorothy Hughes all of Franklin; sons, Stephen McClellan and wife Joyce of Richards, Mike McClellan of Richards and James McClellan and wife Linda of Tomball; 13 Grandchildren: Larissa and Kyle Lutz, Landon Martin, Laramie and Sarah Martin, Jake and Andriana McClellan, Kristen McClellan, Kayla McClellan, Taylor and Augustus Lucio, Emily McClellan, Abigail and Jule Raynor, Matthew McClellan, John and Sarah Davis, Will Davis, Zoe Davis; 8 Great Grandchildren, Emarie McClellan, Kylar Lutz, Kolter Lutz, Thea Davis, Noah Davis, Parker McClellan, T.J. Raynor and Grace Raynor.  He is also survived by cousins, Pat Gilder, Walter Leonard and wife Anita and dear friend, Thomas Alden Batey who was life a brother.

Graveside Service will on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Lee Cemetery in Richards, Texas.
