John Monty Hurst, 60, of Franklin, Texas passed away from this life and entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born on May 15, 1955 in Hearne, Texas to John Edward and Ruth Corn Hurst. Monty was a graduate of Franklin High School and Sam Houston State University. He had been employed the past 9 years at Sexing Technology as a lab technician. He married Karen Kaye Elliott on July 28, 2008 in Conroe, Texas. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2015. Monty was a life-long resident of Franklin and was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Hurst.
