John Edward Eddins, 88, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on June 16, 1923 in Baytown, Texas to Earl Wesley Eddins and Lottie Margaret Sadowski Eddins. Mr. Eddins was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Navy. He married Ruby Fay Eddins in April 1946 and was employed as a Pipeline Inspector before his retirement. He had been a resident of Franklin for the past 50 years and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

He is survived by:

Daughters and Sons-in-law –
Barbara Jean White and husband Mayo of Marshall, Arkansas
Ferrel Eddins and Antonio Nunez of Guadalajara, Mexico

Sister – Deenie Price of Crosby

7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren

Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Henry Prairie Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in the Henry Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin from 6-8 P.M.
