Jerald Wayne Carter was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the age of 73 years. He was born on June 20, 1950 in Houston, Texas to his parents, John Wright and Mary Louise Maxwell Carter.

Jerald was a graduate of Spring Branch High School. He was employed with Houston Light and Power for 14 years before his retirement. Jerald had been a resident of Robertson County for the past 8 years previously residing in Houston.

Uncle JJ, as he was called by his nieces and nephews, had a quiet demeanor and could be a bit humorous at times. Jerald was an avid hunter. He enjoyed much of his time deer hunting in various places throughout the United States. He also enjoyed golfing in his spare time as well. Jerald retreated to the country after his retirement, raising chickens and just appreciating the quiet way of life. His absence of kind spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Louise Carter and his brother, Danny Carter.

Jerald leaves behind to cherish his memory, sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ray Davis of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Karen Carter of New Ulm; nieces and nephews: Angela Stutts, Dana Rincon, Hope Cranford, Garrett Carter, Brad Davis, and Andrew Davis.

A celebration of life for Jerald will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the Creekwood Grill 12710 Telge Road Cypress, Texas 77429.
A private family burial will be held.
