Jeffry Alan
Harper
Jun 11, 1962 — Apr 6, 2022
Jeffry Alan Harper was born on June 11, 1962. He entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the age of 59 years.
Jeff received his education in Houston at Westbury High and attended Texas A&M University, class of 1984. He was employed with RCI in Rockdale for several years as an electrician. Jeff was a resident of Thorndale for the past 30 years and was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Ann (Hancock) Harper on August 17, 2013. They were together for 21 years prior to her passing.
Jeff is best described as a simple man with a calm demeanor. He was the most easy going and peaceful human being you could ever meet. Jeff was inspired by music. One of his favorite past times was to play his guitar and in his later years he enjoyed playing the bongos when his fingers wouldn't allow him to play the guitar anymore. Jeff also enjoyed watching sports and especially the Texas Aggies. What he enjoyed most was his family. He loved them dearly and always looked forward to his time with them. A void will forever be felt now that his presence is no longer here on earth but his memory will never be forgotten by all of the lives that he touched while here.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany McCarver of Thorndale; son, Dylan Harper of Thorndale; grandchildren, Trinity Cornwell and Maurice Baker; his in laws, Marvin and Sue Russell of Magnolia and Leslie Hancock, Sr. of Franklin. He is also survived by his brother-in laws, sister-in laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
