Janet Marie Honea, 78, of Pasadena and formerly of Franklin, Texas passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 in Deer Park, Texas. She was born on May 25, 1933 in Pasadena, Texas to Herchel A. and Jewel Richmond Crainer.
She was a graduate of Pasadena High School and married Rufus Honea on January 19, 1952 in Pasadena. She was employed with Montgomery Wards before her retirement and was a resident of Franklin for twenty years before returning back to Pasadena. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Dianna Honea McAda and her brother, Herchel Crainer, Jr.

She is survived by:

Daughters and Sons-in-law - Debra and Jim Hall of Clear Lake City
Darlene and Robert Day of Pasadena

Son and Daughter-in-law - Ronald and Renee Honea of La Porte

Sister - Doris Martin of Pasadena

6 Grandchildren
8 1/2 Great Grandchildren

Country Kids - Susan and Jacky Hancock, Peggy and Joey Micklewitz, and Mike and Diane Hess

Services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Manning will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
