Obituary

Jamie Lou Whatley, 59 years of age and loved by many, has joined the Lord in heaven. Jamie was born in England on October 10, 1952 and passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at her home in Franklin, TX. She is survived by her father James Curry Simmons; her husband of 35 years, Wiley Whatley, and their three children Michael, Hope, and Jenna; sisters Cindy Miller and Terri Hutton; brother-in-laws Wayne and Charles Whatley, Chris Miller, and Steve Hutton; son-in-laws Nick Hull and Daniel Born; and many close cousins, nieces and nephews. Jamie was the proud grandmother known as La La to Lyric, Owen, and Pierson.
Jamie is preceded in death by her mother Betty Anne Simmons, Father-In-Law Wiley Whatley Sr., and Mother-In-Law Lillian Whatley.
Jamie and Wiley wed on May 1, 1976 and lived in Spring Branch, TX prior to raising their family in The Woodlands for over 20 years, then finally relocating to Franklin, TX. She was a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom and later worked in the office at Sally K. Ride Elementary. She was a compassionate person who had a love for cooking and doing for others.

Visitation will be held at McCauley Funeral Home at 101 E. Decherd Street in Franklin, TX on December 22, 2011 from 5:00-8:00.
Memorial Services will be held at Franklin United Methodist Church at 100 W. Decherd Street on December 23, 2011 at 11:00.
