James Russell
Roberts, Sr.
Feb 21, 1955 — Sep 8, 2025
Jim Roberts left this world on September 8th, surrounded by the love of his closest family.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Don Roberts; his mother, Imogene Roberts; and his beloved son, James Russell Roberts II.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Kathy Roberts, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge in life. He also leaves behind his son, Mike Roberts, and daughter-in-law, Kara Roberts; his cherished grandchildren, Destini Sprayberry and James Russell Roberts III; and his adored great-grandchildren, Jake Sprayberry, Rhett Sprayberry, and Ashton Roberts.
Jim was a man who left an impression on everyone who crossed his path. Known for his kindness, his warm smile, and his generous heart, he was deeply loved not only by his family but by countless friends and acquaintances. Whether it was sharing a laugh, offering a helping hand, or simply making someone feel welcome, Jim had a rare gift for making people's lives brighter.
Jim had a deep love for the water. Whether spending time on the lake, sitting by the ocean, or simply relaxing by his pool, he found peace and joy near the water's edge. Beyond his love for the outdoors, Jim was a devoted provider. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, always ensuring that his wife and children not only had what they needed, but so much more. His dedication and selflessness were among his greatest gifts to his family.
At the center of his life was his family, who were his greatest source of joy and pride. He was a loving husband, a guiding father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the most honest person you could ever meet. His unwavering love and wisdom will be carried on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
Though Jim will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on through the memories he created, the love he gave, and the example he set. His life will continue to be celebrated by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
A celebration of life memorial mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home 101 West Decherd Street Franklin, Texas 77856.
