James Frederick "Dee" Padgett, 69, of Marquez, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in LaVernia, Texas. He was born on March 19, 1946 in Leon County, Texas to James Roland and Essie Ida Padgett. Dee owned and operated Padgett Trucking Company until his retirement in 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, Sister; Sheila Williams and son-in-law; Gary Conn.

He is survived by:

Wife – Dorothy Janette Padgett of Teague

2- Daughters – Janet Conn of Donie and Joyce Noey of Teague

Son and Daughter-in-law – James and Amber Padgett of LaVernia

Mother – Essie Padgett of Marquez

Brothers – Bobby Padgett and Roland "Bubs" Padgett both of Marquez

9-Grandchildren, 3-Great Grandchildren and one on the way

Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Texas. Rev. Billy Bob Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in the Winn Cemetery in Leon County. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home.
